      EBS 12.1.3

      11g

      OL6

      Hi ALL,

I want to clone our EBS to a remote site which has slow network transfer.

So but I need to make the backup apps tier smaller file by removing the log files, concurrent reports, outputs, etc.

Can you help me please which folders/files to remove at their locations?

      Kind regards,

      jc

          Bashar.

          Hi,

Just use the "Purge Concurrent Request and/or Manager Data Program" request.

It will take care of all concurrent logs and output files.

You even don't need to copy the "inst" folder which has all the logs and output files.

When you run adcfgclone on the remote site, it will create a new directory structure.

          Regards,

          Bashar

            Hi Bashar,

So I do no t need to copy "inst" folder. Wow! I did not know that

I can not do purge concurrent programs, since it will affect the actual PROD

What I want to do for cloning is:

            1. cp -r   /u01/appprod/PROD  PROD.bak

            2. remove the uncessary logs and output files in PROD.bak , using linux command in order to make it smaller.

            3. zip it and ftp to remote server so it wll not take so much bandwidth.

Are there other log files aside from "inst" folder?

            Kind regards,
