Use Alien instad of rpm to install Data Modeler.
First install it (if you don't have it already): sudo apt-get install alien
Then run: sudo alien -i datamodeler-188.8.131.525.2121-1.noarch.rpm
How do you envision submitting this command on an Oracle Enterprise Linux 7 U4 OS?
If my quick research about alien is right, it is a bi-directional package converter and exists on Debian/Ubuntu. Why should I convert an .rpm on an Oracle Linux?
I cannot use Alien on OL 7.4, or at least there is no sense to use it on a Red Hat Package Manager (RPM) based system. After all, whoever packaged Data Modeler in RPM format was aware of its dependencies and should have given instructions where to find those orphan OSGI RPM packages. Even Yum is not able to resolve those dependencies through all OL 7.4 regular and add ons repositories as well as EPEL 7.4 repository. And no word about it on the Data Modeler download site. This is very frustrating. Unprofessional treatment of customers.
It seems that this is a bug in Data Modeler rpm package. It will be fixed in the next release.
There are no additional files (dependencies) required for the installation. All required files are included in the package but the package header is wrong.
A temporary work around until rpm haeders gets fixed is to unpack the rpm by hand with a command like:
rpm2cpio datamodeler-184.108.40.2065.2121-1.noarch.rpm | cpio -dmiv
and then move the unpacked directories to appropriate location
