FNDCPASS has an ALLORACLE mode which changes all schema passwords in one command execution:
FNDCPASS apps/apps 0 Y system/system_pwd SYSTEM APPLSYS new_apps_pwd
FNDCPASS apps/new_apps_pwd 0 Y system/system_pwd USER ALLORACLE new_schema_pwd
There is not really anything to test when changing the schema passwords. The applications uses the apps password in the background, and adpatch/adadmin uses the encrypted schema passwords stored when you run FNDCPASS to update tables and indexes, grant privileges etc.
Thank you for your helpful response.
