Is there any logic that can be applied to distinguish which are liability accounts? for example starts with a certain number or between a range.
Exists group of some accounts that always will belong to liabilities, but also I have group of accounts (for example 11*) that can belong assets or liabilities, so I don't have logic here.
think your only option is to either insist on a logic that the GL users stick to for liabilities, or to add a new mapping to cover each distinct range of accounts that all adhere to the same rule.
Standards are there to make everyone's life simpler as well as to ensure consistency and quality - they are worth the discussion...
Well unfortunately magic cannot be performed, so you need some kind of logic to define them, alternatively you can use explicit mappings
