    Cloning EBS 12.2.7 in OL6.8

    Beauty_and_dBest

      Hi ALL,

I am cloning our EBS 12.2.7 in OL6.8. I can see the mount point disk  of /dev/asm  type.

This server has also existing database using ASM disk. But the one I am currently cloning is I do not want to

use  ASM becuase I do not know how to manage it or I have not used it before

I am starting at db Tier, and it almost completed with the last finishing touches:

          Hi,

What is the value of below in DB Context Files:

          grep -i s_cdb_name $CONTEXT_FILE

          grep -i s_pdb_name $CONTEXT_FILE

            Provide below info also:

          sqlplus '/as sysdba'

          select name,cdb from v$database;

          show parameter pluggable

          Thanks,

          Vishnu

            Thanks Vishnu,

I will check that today when I go to office.

But I have been cloning this clone backup copy many times, and this is the first time it got this multitenant error

There must be something on this server being detected that makes it change its process?

I wonder if its the ASM +  the existing database?

From the source instance where this clone backup was taken:

            [apppsar@test01 ~]$ grep -i s_cdb_name $CONTEXT_FILE

            [apppsar@test01 ~]$

            [apppsar@test01 ~]$ grep -i s_pdb_name $CONTEXT_FILE

            [apppsar@test01 ~]$

            SQL> select name,cdb from v$database;

            NAME      CDB

            --------- ---

            PSAR      NO

            show parameter pluggable

            SQL>

            NAME                                 TYPE        VALUE

            ------------------------------------ ----------- ------------------------------

            enable_pluggable_database            boolean     FALSE

            Kind regards,

              Hi Vishnu and ALL,

Why is that I have lots of missing bug fixes? Is it mandatory to applied all of them or just optional?

How did the installer know they are missing? and which file did it compare with? Did it connect to the internet?

                  Hi,

I am still checking about this but by the way ETCC patches are all not mandatory unless you are doing any upgrade now.

ETCC are strongly recommended patches but ideally will not impact if not applied. So till we find out root cause of the issue, you need worry about ETCC.

                  Thanks,

                  Vishnu
