    Polaiah-Oracle

      Hello,

I have done OBIEE Clustering (node1 and node2) on windows server 2016 by OBIEE 12c: Quick Reference How To Cluster | Scale-out OBIEE 12c Including Examples (Doc ID 2101898.1)

      OBIEE Version: 12.2.1.3

I am getting the below error:

          Dear Polaiah,

          Is this horizontal or vertical?

In Horizontal, you have to create a share NFS location which will be connecting both Node1 and Node2.

            Hello,

            Thank you for your response,

a shared NFS location has already been mounted, copied bidata and modified bi-environment.xml with NFS location.

            Regards,

            Polaiah

              Hello Polaiah,

I'm unable to open the MOS link you have shared.

Can you please list all the steps you have followed till now?

Changing the Singleton Data Directory (SDD)

                1. Stop Biserver using stop.cmd

                2. Navigate to the following directory: /.../Oracle_Home/user_projects/domains/bi/config/fmwconfig/bienv/core

                3. Edit bi-environment.xml to change the Singleton Data Directory (SDD).

                4. Copy the bidata directory to the new SDD location

                5. Start Biserver using start.cmd

                Setting Up the Global Cache

Log in to FMw Control Enterprise Manager. Click on Target Navigation -> expand Business Intelligence -> biinstance -> Configuration tab -> Performance sub tab:

                Adding New Computers

                1. Shutdown all services on node 1 before running the clone command

                2. Run the clone command on node 1.

                3. Copy|transfer the jar file to the node 2

                4. Start the following components:

On node 1: Node Manager, Admin Server, managed server for node 1 and BI system components for node 1.

On node 2: Node Manager and managed server.

5.Re-synchronize the data source on the new machine (node 2).

6.On node 1, start the new BI system components for node 2

                  Ok, this seems all correct.

You did not received any errors in any of the above steps, right?

Can you please follow the below steps and see where exactly your services crashes?

                  1. start the node managers on both the servers using startNodemanager.cmd

                  2. From primary Server, run startWeblogic.cmd
