I have a similar issue - i can pull data but not submit any data. I get the same error Member Not Found. Just the week prior, it worked, and i did not make any changes that i know of to my system - no new installs of of new software, except a push from IT for a windows update for KB4132650, so we're still trying to figure that if that is the source of the issue.
I completly reinstalled Office and Smartview, without any success.
Using Windows 10, Office '16 64 bit, and Smartview 18.104.22.168.700.
I also noticed that now webforms in excel have same issue when i refresh.
What's the excel version are you using? Is it Office 365?
We had this issue with some customers and Oracle confirmed that its a Bug.

The workaround has been to forcibly downgrade Microsoft Office to a known working version - as the latest update on Office caused this issue.
Yes, most of the bugs reported so far is for Excel 365. Currently development team is working on the issue but fix is not yet available.

These bugs are not yet confirmed as a code bug by the development team and is still being under the investigation.
Current workaround is the one you have stated earlier.
I was using both Office 365 and Excel 2010, and i believe i had the issue on both. I'll try removing all office and only putting excel 2010.
If you get the similar issue in Excel 2010, then we would need to further investigate why this error occurred. You may need to run the fiddler tracer as well to see if anything can be found.
You can also raise an SR with Oracle Support so that we can have another level of investigate on the same issue. As far as I can see this error has appeared for those users who are using Office 365 where a recent office upgrade has caused this issue.

my Web-forms and reports do open with no issues is just Essbase. My Essbase version is 126.96.36.199 on Premise
Check the exact information for the version. Do you see anything called "Click to Run" when see the version under File->Account.
Turns out Office 2016 has been moved to the Office 365 plus pro, perhaps it is not compatible with Smartview 188.8.131.52.720?

I guess the issue you have reported for on-prem and not for cloud. So I would suggest you to log an SR with Oracle Support so that we can further discuss with dev team. Currently they are many customers who has reported this issue in PBCS, HFM(on-prem), PCMCS.
Thanks, I will an SR with them, for now I just removed the Office 365 plus pro updates back to Office 2016 and the error is gone.
The monthly channel Version 1806 (Build 10228.20080) is available and it contains fix for this issue. Check if this helps to fix the issue.
