    How to restart a patch?

    Beauty_and_dBest

      EBS 12.2.0 upgrade

      OL6

      Hi ALL,

I am applying a patch and it is running very loooong......

Oracle E-Business Suite Release Notes, Release 12.2 (Doc ID 1320300.1)

I forgot to run it  on  VNC server client so that I can close  or shutdown my laptop.

Right now It was running on putty and I can not logoff to sleep   30,000 jobs still waiting to run.

How do I transfer it to VNC client? Can I close putty and reopen the running patch  on VNC client window?

      Please help....

      Kind regards,

      jc

          Hi ALL,

I closed the putty session, and login to VNC then run adctl

Why is that bencwb.odf is in status Running for soooo loooong? Did it  hung already? runaway process?

I show worker status and I see it running.

Will it still run in background? or how do I transfer it to this machine?

          Is option 6 possible?

          Please help...

          Kind regards,

            Hi ALL,

I been trying all the options in the AD Controller Menu, all 1 to 6, but to no avail.

The worker will not restart the program

Its been in this status since yesterday

            Please help....

            Kind regards,

              Hi JC

open a new session and  try to restart all the workers or else restart the OS and  restart the patch again

              Regards

              Shaik

                Thanks Shaik,

What session do I open? adpatch or adadmin or adctrl?

                Kind regards,

                  Hi Shaik,

I tried to run adpatch again.

What will I answer to the prompt? Yes or No?

                    Hi JC

Give "No" so that your adpatch session can start again.

If you give Yes it will check the last workers status and stuck with the same.

                    Regards

So I will abort the patch

What happened to the half way finished? Will it not corrupt the data?

                      I tried answering Yes:

                            Hi Shaik,

This patch took more than 1 day for me to run and it still running till now compiling lots of objects?

Have you noticed this patch too? Or maybe I am doing the wrong way that is why it took so long?
