no need to uninstall mks tool as u said u r right mks tool has older version ..you can down load "Active perl 5.5 from "http://perl.com"
and install this.
This is Lav I'm Installing 11.5.10 but facing Some Problem.
I have compleate all the prerequisite and Passed the prerequsite During installation.
At the time of component installation review. "BootStrap Fails Or after finalizing automatic close every thing.
Further i dont know what to do for this problem

I want to know whether Oracle 11.5.10 can be installed on WIN XP PRO with SP1 64 BIT ?
I am also trying to install 11i E-Business Suite on a Vista machine, will go to 2003 or whatever it takes, if you have a guide, I could use your help.

Vista is not yet certified, go with Windows 2003 instead.
For the installation steps, refer to Oracle Manual or just search this forum.

can't you go with xp professional instead of home edition
Oracle is not Magic, it just takes years of experience
Do NOT go with Windows XP Home Edition unless you can afford the headache since it is not supported.

I have some doubts; is VC++ mandatory for installing Oracle Apps 11.5.9 or one can do without installing VC++. Also I am getting an error for MKS, can u please guide me on that as well?

First of all i do not have MKS, i have installed CYGWIN as an alternative to MKS. But still during pre installation check it gives some error related to D:\MKS.
Also please let me know if there is any other alternative to MKS.
