I have a number of tab containers that overflow to a scrollig single line.
Tab1 Tab2 Tab3 Tab4 Tab5 ........Tab10 blah blah
Can I have them on multiple lines
Tab1 Tab2 Tab3
Tab4 Tab5 Tab6
Tab7 Tab8 Tab9
Not using any of the simple built-in features. This is probably by design because of usability and accessibility issues that would arise for some people in trying to determine which was the currently selected option in such a presentation.
In my opinion you have too many tabs. Why is the page so busy? What options do they really represent? If it's not possible to simplify the page, then I would suggest structurally reorganising it to use multiple levels of tabs, as shown in Example 2 on the tabs page of the UT Sample Application.
I agree. Too many tabs that would be better off reorganised. However out of my hands. We have replatformed a legacy system with the requirement that the screens must be the same as the older system. That in itself is a whole other issue :-) Anyway you answered my question. May be enough for me to have the requirement modified :-)
