No Option for SSH Connection in Advanced Properties

Anthony FlackSep 6 2018 — edited Sep 7 2018

Hello - I'm new to Oracle SQL Developer. I'm trying to setup a database connection in the "New / Select Database Connection" window. When I select "Advanced..." to set an SSH connection, the tab is missing. I can't find any instructions on how to enable this tab to be able to setup my database connection. Is there an option I'm missing elsewhere to get this tab to show?

View > SSH

Add a new SSH Host, then add your port forward.

Then go to create a new connection, of type 'SSH' - and pick your port forward.

You may be new to Oracle SQL Developer, but apparently viewed some old documentation.  The SSH tab has not been in Advanced Properties since 4.0.3.   It has a much better implementation nowadays!

That worked, thanks very much!
