Could you tell me can we install OBIEE 11.1.1.7 on windows 10?

do I need to install any other software to it i mean to say any path or any update? or need to go for any other OBIEE version?

Please help me with this issue to get it resolved soon.

Look at @"Christian Berg"'s blog - https://dimensionality.ch/2017/05/06/installing-oracle-bi-on-windows-7-8-10/

Windows 10 is a Client OS and OBIEE is enterprise software which works with server architecture and therefore requires a server OS.

Thanks for your reply, but when we execute the installation that time we do have 3 option simple install/Enterprise Install/Software only.

I am not going for 'Enterprise Install' but still I need Server OS?

Please correct me if I am going wrong.

Thanks

All OBIEE installations need to be on a server OS

Thank you for your kind information. Then I have only the option to change OS.

When you are about to install OBIEE, always start by checking the relative certification matrix (for 11.1.1.7: https://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/bi/bi-11gr1certmatrix-ps6-1928219.xls ) you find at https://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/ias/downloads/fusion-certification-100350.html  .

It's the best way to see if the tool will work on your environment or not (valid for both the server side components and the client).

As a said note: any reason for installing 11.1.1.7 ? It's not supported anymore, definitely not a version to start with ...

Thanks for your certification matrix information.

But still ignoring the fact that you're installing on an unsupported OS?

User_9XA6O

I guess, I have marked it as correct answer and not ignoring anything.

I am not aware of how to close the discussion. If possible kindly let me know the same.

Thanks

Only a "Correct" answer closes the thread. And the "Correct" answer was Joel right in the beginnign stating that Win10 isn't supported
