      Hi ALL,

I am applying patch for ECC using adop.

      I finished the prepare phase.

I am now applying a patch  using below:

      adop phase=apply patches=28517038,28045225,28050532,28045951,17361679,19766498,27073573,17514530,17373333 patchtop=/u01/PATCH

      But I got error:

      AutoPatch error:

Error running SQL and EXEC commands in parallel

      You should check the file

      /u02/appv1228/V1228/fs_ne/EBSapps/log/adop/67/20190114_130013/apply/testsvr3/28045225/log/u28045225.log

Then I run adctrl to check the failed workders:

          Hi JC,

Can you please perform below steps -

            1. As oracle log in to sqlplus as system/pwd
            2. Run adsysapp.pls from APPL_TOP/ADMIN
            3. In another session run adctrl and reset worker to fixed
            4. Restart job

          And let us know.

          Regards

          Vivek

                Hi JC

                • Have you applied any patches before (esp patch with .ldt files) in this instance. Just check whether its a stable/working instance
                • Does this instance have any invalid objects.

                Thanks

                  Hi Kanda,

I remember, I was able to apply these ECC patches before in another test instance and It was successful.

I can not remember how, but maybe I applied it one-by-one and not in one time pass as in > patches=28517038,28045225,28050532,28045951,17361679,19766498,27073573,17514530,17373333

                  or does it matter?

How do I abort it so that I will try it one by one?

                  Kind regards,

I compiled the invalid objects but only four (4) were cleared.

                              Thanks Michael,

                              Objects were clean compiled now.

What to next? How do I restart the patching cycle?

I tried to restart it in adctrl, but is taking long time in this status:

                                Hi jc,

I suspect there are dependencies in the lower patches that are required for the first one you are applying.  I would abort this adop cycle, and restart using the following for the apply options:

                                patches=17373333,17361679,17514530,19766498,27073573,28045225,28050532,28045951,28517038

You can also try it with merge=yes

Then it should apply prerequisite objects before dependent ones.

                                Regards,

                                Michael
