No. Solaris and Linux are not binary compatible, You have to use Platform Migration on the appTier, and export/import or transportable tablespaces to migrate the data.

The docs says they are not of the same Indians
One is Big Indian and the other is Little Indian.
I am impressed with Indians are so good they have their names incorporated with the database?
But are they the same Linux flavor? I mean all their commands are similar?
Meaning, If I am 100% good at OL6, then I will be 100% good at Sol11 as well? or 50% only credits?
What will be the learning ratio if I will install EBS 12.2 in Solaris11?
Its Big Endian Platforms & Little Endian Platforms
can you let us know whether you would have OS admin to perform OS level activities (Disk/OS management)
Do you mean OS admin for Solaris11?
We just need minimal learning of OS admin, just enough to able to install EBS R12.2.7 to Solaris11.
My question is if I know how to install it in OL6, will it follow that I also will be able to install in it Solaris11 easily?
Can you share me doc notes on how to install or clone EBS R12.2.x to Solaris11?
Hi Michael, Kanda
Is there Solaris11 that is not of SPARC? but of x86?
Please help me understand what Solaris11 is.
Solaris 11 is just version 11 of Solaris. It is just an upgrade of Solaris versions. Just like OL 7 is an upgrade from OL 6 or OL 5.
Can I install OL7 on Sparc?
