What was your changes? Why do you need to run autoconfig?
If you refer oracle support, the document mentioned when you need to do autoconfig
I was applying adop patch, when it throws error that fnd_nodes are invalid, and instructs to run autoconfig.
Then I run autoconfig without shutting down meddle-tier, and the adop resume, but hit another error:
[UNEXPECTED]The following patches failed to apply on admin node <testsvr3> in online mode, session ID <34>
You can either resolve the failure and reapply the patches, or ignore the failure and allow processing to continue.
[WARNING] Only continue if you are sure it is safe to do so - continuing without first resolving the failure may lead to inconsistency and data loss.
To reapply the patches in the existing session, answer 'N'.
To ignore the failure and continue processing, answer 'Y'.
Do you want to continue (Y/N)? [N]
If fnd_nodes are invalid, stop application service
clear the fnd_nodes
autoconfig on DB Tier
And then autoconfig on appstier
If web node also, run autconfig
and then start the service
What do you mean by stop adop?
Do you mean abandon and abort?
It appears you tried to merge many AD patches on 12.2.7 and it failed to apply because they could not all be merged together. Upon restarting, the services are noting the patches failed to apply.
You should abort the patching cycle, and apply the AD patches correctly per the 3.3 Path C — Existing Release 12.2 customers (at AD-TXK Delta 10 codelevel) section since 12.2.7 is already on AD/TXK C Delta 10.

I have done aborting, cleanup, and fs_clone process on this instance on the first error attempt to apply this merge patch.
Can I do abort, and cleanup only? without fs_clone because this process took very long time.
Since your current patch top was merged and failed, you should fs_clone to recreate the patch top from your run fs.
Thanks Michael, Azar, and ALL.
