When you use the processing step "Use the value of a form field to select the contact list" this requires an ID to store the information against. So the value submitted by the end user completing the form should be the Shared List ID in Eloqua. As far as I'm aware, if there is not a valid ID submitted, than the data won't be added anywhere. So your data is likely to just be sitting in the form submission report at this stage.
If you want to update the form, you will first need to know the IDs of the Shared Lists. They are easy to find via the REST API provided you have knowledge of the API and using a client such as Postman to run the calls
(Example) GET https://secure.p06.eloqua.com/api/REST/1.0/assets/contact/lists?search="name=*MySharedListName*"
You can also find via the main Eloqua application and UI using this process:
- Open the Shared List you want to send the data too
- Select ">>" and "Field Values" per below
- Then you can see the ID via the URL. In this case 13758.
You could also use a picklist so that the user sees one thing but Eloqua processes using the ID such as below
Hope that helps
Thank you so much Richard this is great! Really helpful and easy to understand - thanks!
