from the OPERA side it is technically possible to set up more than one OXI interface.Depending on the interfaces needs, you can also set up Publishers/Subscribers that enable messages received from one interface to propagate to other interfaces if needed.
I can't speak from the Sabre side. It might be wise to touch base with them to check if they have any restriction connecting two Synxis interfaces to the same OPERA PMS.
Property need to purchase OXI-TRUST_XML license for LHW hotels and configure the interface accordingly.
thanks for your inquiry.
LHW does not have its own OXI. LHW have been using Trust over the years in order to enjoy full distribution options (GDS, OTAs, etc.). Since Sabre have acquired Trust, Sabre's technology is now through SynXis.
As far as I know, you will need one OXI for the older LHW IFC and one OXI for the standard SynXis. Please have the customer/s check with SynXis directly how former Trust customers can best be onboarded/migrated and what the requirements are for that. It seems that there has not been any migration yet. The platform though will be the same – there is no own versions of LHW but rather only Whitelabels versions for resellers which can be customized as far as graphics and branding are concerned. Platform though stays the same for everyone including the functionalities available for the various integrations. I advise you to tell your customers to check with their Sabre account manager and take it from there.
Thank you Ninan!
The fact is that LHW is currently using Trust but as they have said to the hotel form June 2019 they are switching to LHW Synxis. So it does not have sense installing now Opera Trust interface because it will be obsolete and useless in June.
Thank you for your reply!
Yes, I am aware that it is possible having more OXI interfaces at the same time but problem is having two OXI Synxis interfaces at the same time.
We don't know how to handle that kind of setup. If it is possible at all for Opera PMS. Thats why I asked the question expected that someone form Community will have the same experience and could help accordingly.
I would appreciate any instruction on this matter. Thanks!
Depending on the changes required, in theory, they can keep using the Trust 2-way and you will need to switch the external Synxis URL only. Synxis owns the IPs for the Synxis 1 & 2-way IFC, as well as the Trust 1 & 2-way.
Please keep in mind, that even if the endpoint is both Synxis, your customer will need to purchase two OPERA exchange interfaces.
Hope this is anwering your question.
I think I underestimated your question. You were referring to having the same interface cod twice and you are correct, this can't be for the same property.
I just confirmed internally and this needs to be done by turning on another interface ID. You need to take the following into account:
- Customer must purchase the same number of interface that they activate. So in your case they will need to buy 2 OXI-2way interfaces
- Confirm with Synxis if they want to use the Trust OXI interface or if they want to use another interface ID
Apparently Synxis is doing this kind of setup regularly.
