Are you running Java 32bit or 64bit on your client?  Did you run webutil in „detailed“ logging to see possible errors?

I have the Excel-start in small letters - but I think it has a different reason why Excel does not start.

                  Kishore,

I guess your jacob.jar bean for OLE2 is not loaded - maybe it is not signed correctly or missing? Press key No. 5 (Maximum trace level) in the debug console directly after the application starts.Check security messages according  jacob.jar. you Must have a valid jacob.jar and the correct jacob dll (registered in webutil.cfg) to run OLE2 on the client.

                      Kishore,

this would answer all your questions if you have a Support account:

                      1) Download http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/jacob-project/jacob_18.zip

and extract to a temporary staging area. Do not attempt to use 1.7 or 1.9.

                      2) Copy or move jacob.jar and jacob.dll
[JacobStage] is the folder where you extracted Jacob, and will end in ...\jacob_18
                            cd [JacobStage]
                            copy jacob.jar [OraHome]\forms\java\.
                            copy jacob.dll [OraHome]\forms\webutil\.

I am not familiar with your Java Version and if a self signed Java File will run under XP on your browser. You can try it - I guess it will. You don't need to sign frmwebutil.jar - only Jacob.jar (which was successful) Then you probably Need to restart OAS.

What do you get in your Java console log now? Please press keys C and L in the console and check if Jacob.jar is loaded. Check on your Client userprofile/webutil if Jacob.dll is loaded.

                              Hi Kishore,

go in your XP to System/Java 32/last tab/activate console

I have never worked with this Java Version but it should be possible.
