Indeed very sad news. No doubt, She was doing a great job.!!! Thank you for the update.
Wish you all the best James & Christiana.
Oh FFS, why do companies lay off people who are the busiest at working? Clueless upper management.
Indeed, very sad news. As usual (with Larry), some decisions are hard to understand.
Why do companies always dismiss the wrong people? I will miss her. And her Friday Fun postings.
"Mach's gut Chitrasai und bis bald."
Oh Sh!t ! That's sad. I'll miss you, Chitra!
We'll miss Chitrasai. She was really good.
Thanks for letting us know.
How do these layoffs work? It must be a terrible experience, especially when your job is more than just a paycheck. It must also be hard for staff management to make those decisions, I can imagine. Condolences. I wish Chitra all the best and hope she will let us know about her whereabouts in the future.
Sometimes I wonder what happened to some of the people here. If people haven't logged in for months or years, I suppose they're gone. I'm baffled that there is staff left to downsize. People have outlined criticism, including myself, and I hope none of this has been contributing to the current outcome. I also hope this will not translate to less feedback from Oracle staff in the feedback and community idea spaces in the future.
One more thing, I think it was reasonable to announce her departure, but perhaps better closed for comments.

Well, people like Sonya, Monique and Snaugle I'm still in touch with and are all doing fine in their respective new jobs.
Well, that isn't my reason for concern. I remember when Monique and Snaugle left, and also Sonya. These people had their announcements and farewell threads and received all the best wishes from the community. I was wondering about the people who left but without receiving attention.
Are you sure this is what you wanted to write?
It is a loss for OTN and its community to loose a staff member that gave a damn about OTN and its community.
Pity that the bean counters in management are oblivious to these factors.
Wow, you even got a like from someone I would have never expected.
Am I misunderstanding something here? According to my experience she supported the platform and shared a common interest with other friends an colleagues being an activist, however, I did not have the impression she gave a damn about OTN and its community. I suppose people are entitled to their opinion, but right here and now, well, what can I say, I find it tactless.
Chitra was a valuable asset to this community, and we're already feeling her loss on this end.
Thank you all for your kind comments. I'm locking the thread now, as this isn't the place for a debate about who cares about the community and who doesn't.
