      ICINGA Oracle Plugin

A Java/JDBC plugin for monitoring Oracle Databases using Icinga.
The ICINGA plugin can be found here: https://github.com/BrightMove/icinga-plugin-oracle

      Currently supported operations

      • Monitor the general connectivity to the database, ensuring the TNS Listener is available
      • Monitor usage on all tablespaces with universal warning and critical % thresholds
      • Monitor usage on a single tablespace with specific warning and critical % thresholds
      • Monitor the total count of all active sessions in the database
      • Monitor the total count of active session for a single user

The requirements in order to run this plugin are:

      • Apache Maven version 3
      • JDK6 and higher
      • Oracle 11g

      Questions concerning ICINGA

      1. I would like to monitor health status of Oracle databases with ICINGA. Is there any experience existing about this combination?
      2. Also I would like to know whether there is the possibilty to send Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 13.3 - Data to ICINGA.
      3. The plugin requirements seem to be very hard to fulfill in a security environment: we have to harden and patch continuously the apache maven server and even the JDK.
