Can you share your table DDL and some sample data so we can try to reproduce this issue?
I do use many table type for different use in my tables one of is
create or replace TYPE "USERACTION" as Object
and this I use in table as
CREATE TABLE "T_TEST"
( "ID" NUMBER,
"KEY" VARCHAR2(30 BYTE),
"NAME" VARCHAR2(80 BYTE),
"REMARK" VARCHAR2(500 BYTE),
even I try to compile existing table type object giving me same error.
You gave us the DDL but neglected to provide any data. Here is what your case yields with a bit of dummy data:
create or replace TYPE "USERACTION" as Object ( CID NUMBER, CDATE DATE, EID NUMBER, EDATE DATE, CNAME Varchar2(200), ENAME Varchar2(200) ) / CREATE TABLE "T_TEST" ( "ID" NUMBER, "KEY" VARCHAR2(30 BYTE), "NAME" VARCHAR2(80 BYTE), "REMARK" VARCHAR2(500 BYTE), "UI" "USERACTION" ) / insert into T_TEST values( 1, 'ABC', 'ALPHABET', 'TEST', "USERACTION"(1,sysdate,1,sysdate,'C','E')); commit;
I executed this from a worksheet with Run Script (F5), and it seems to work fine:
So please elaborate on what your environment is, and more details about the problem you face.
Hi Glen Conway
I stated that in my question I do have oracle 12c db, I use sql Developer for easy use of multiple db handling at same place,
till 10g I can see table data in object browser as you have posted, but in 12c I can not see that table data anymore giving error as given in my question,
I use sql developer on windows machine.
In that case, sorry, in my environment I cannot reproduce the error you see. Maybe there is additional information in the View -> Log pane, in the Messages or Logging Page tabs?
To clarify with respect to "environment", I ran the test shown in my replies 3 and 4...
1) from WIndows 10
2) using JDK 1.8.0_201
3) with SQL Developer 19.1
4) against an Oracle 18.104.22.168 db running in a Linux VM image in Oracle Virtual Box.
If I run a second insert row test from the SQL Developer 4.2 install that comes in the VM image:
I see that the test also works fine:
Perhaps others will post additional suggestions.
