If you are installing 64-bit Oracle Database software, and your existing Oracle Database is a 32-bit Oracle Database installation, then your existing Oracle Database is automatically converted to 64-bit during the upgrade to the new Oracle Database release.
However, you cannot install 32-bit database software using a 64-bit Linux. This is possible for the Oracle Client but not the database software.
Thanks for the prompt reply and answer. Do you know if I upgrade my database to 64-bit will there be any issues with my second EBS server remaining 32-bit?
