If you are using a service like Remote Access to have a static hostname like hostname.dyndns.org then I would recommend taking a look at your update client and make certain that it is on and set properly. These can be either software based like the Dyn Update Client or hardware based like you might find in a router.

If you have a static IP address, you must not run an update client - never. Disable any update client you may be using.
