Database doesn't start correctly when Oracle service start

    4038255

      Hi,

I'm using an Oracle 12c1 standard edition.

When i restart my Oracle service (or restart the server), the database doesn't start correctly (when i restart my Oracle service, it is anormaly quick).

When i try to connect to my database : sqlplus system/****@mySIG , i have the following error :

ora-12514 tns listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor

If i do the following action  everything is ok :

      • Set ORACLE_SID=SIG
      • Sqlplus sys/manager as sysdba
      • Startup

I think when i start my oracle service, the database isn't start completly.

      Thank you for your support.

      Tom

What does the alert log show AFTER you start the service and BEFORE you connect with sqlplus to manually start?  What does the alert log show resulting from your manual start?

What does the registry key ORA_<orasid>_AUTOSTART show? (see HKLM\SOFTWARE\oracle\KEY_ORADB ...)

            Hi,

            Thank you for your support.

            I haven't this registry key.

And i have Nothing in my EventViewer.

Do you think y need to create this registry key?

            Thx.

open an OS command, and set sid=.., sqlplus /nolog and startup

My guess is when you create the services, you did not specify auto start the database. oh, btw, make sure the listener is up too.

You do understand, don't you, that the "key" I gave you was a generic name with placeholders, so you were expected to be able to determine the specific name for your system . . ..

And i have Nothing in my EventViewer.

I said nothing about the EventViewer.  I asked about the alert log .. aka 'alert<sid>.ora'.  And again, that is a template name because I don't know for sure the name of your database.

Do you think y need to create this registry key?

Not unless you have a desire to corrupt your system.
