    Oracle Startup problem

      Hi Friends,
I have recently installed oracle 10g. But when i try to logon to the system, I am not able to. When I try to go to OEM, the error message I am getting is IO Exception: unable to connect to the network adapter. Can anybody help? I work on windows XP.

Try to configure the listener as well as the local naming methods configuration.

Then directly go to command prompt and try to connect to the database as sysdba.

If you are able to do this then you will be able to use OEM also.

Also set the ORACLE_SID,ORACLE_HOME & TNS_ADMIN as environment variables before doing this
