Find Database Object - All Schemas - checked-on by default

simonmulSep 2 2019 — edited Sep 4 2019

Alt-G is such an awesome command but slightly de-evolved with the "All Schemas" checkbox no longer selected by default.

This provided instant lookup upon entering the keyboard shortcut but is no longer default and doesnt appear to be able to be changed.

Is a default able to be set?

Thanks

are you sure you didn't uncheck it at one point and it's just remembering your prior search settings?

I believe the flag is "remembered" based on Connection.

IIRC - Only when I add a new connection do I have to check "All Schemas" (for the first time).

Can you (@"simonmul" ) run some tests and verify?

Thanks,

MK

Thank you gents.

I can absolutely confirm that

- using Build 206.2117

- have worksheet open and cursor blinking within object name (object belongs in another schema, eg DBA_NETWORK_ACLS)

- alt-g opens find, takes a moment to search; All Schemas is not selected; does not find object

- select all schemas, click the go button, finds object

- close find window

Repeating these steps "All schemas" is not selected and has to be reselected each time.

Using menu View -> Find DB Object also shows "All schemas" as not selected.

Cheers

Reproduced, bugged, thank you!
