Upgrade OEM 13.3 to 13.4

Hi all ,

Due to the fact that OEM release 13.4 is available since a couple of days I would like to ask if anybody has already upgraded OEM from release 13.3 to release 13.4. I would like to perform this upgrade asap - but I haven't found anything yet in Oracle's Metalink about how to perform this upgrade.

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Jan,

The EM 13.4 docs and Release notes are live @ https://docs.oracle.com/en/enterprise-manager/cloud-control/enterprise-manager-cloud-control/13.4/index.html

The Upgrade checklist in MOS is yet to get published. Will keep you posted once it is ready.

Hi Jan,

Currently I am trying to upgrade to 13.4 from 13.3 PG and facing some problems. Upgrade process stops at the step apply one-off patch. We are investigating the issue with oracle support.

I am not sure should I expose SR in the community. There is a lot of info in it.

Hi Nikolay,

No issues.

I have seen a case where the Upgrade process had issues at patching operation due to the ulimit values.

Make sure the nproc value is set to 65536.

Are you performing the upgrade with Software-Only option with plugins OR direct upgrade?

Unsetting the PERL5LIB make the things work.

There was another error when configuring BI publisher. Now OEM is broken, waiting MOS to help.

EM 13c: Enterprise Manager 13c Cloud Control Installation or Upgrade on MS Windows Fails at Start Oracle Management Service with Error: The plug-in Start Oracle Management Service has failed its perform method ( Doc ID 2263701.1 )

Misssing one or both:

In order to start 12.2.1.3 OHS, msvcr100.dll and msvcr110.dll both are required.
Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable along with Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable.

OMS started!
