OAM and OSSO

Jim DeelyFeb 19 2020 — edited Jun 27 2020

I am doing an upgrade from Oracle SSO (10.1.4.3) to OAM (12.2.1.3) for Single Sign On purposes but I need to keep SSO for  a small subset of users signing on to a legacy application. Can you integrate OSSO (10.1.4.3) and OAM (12.2.1.3) to the same Oracle Internet Directory (11.1.1.6)? THis is to facilitate provisioning between applications under the SSO applications

In your use case, then you will have two different setups- one with Oracle SSO/OID and second with OAM/OID. Yes you can use the same OID for both.

However, both these setups will now be different, with OID being the same at the backend.

Hi Sandeep,

Thank you. Is such a configuration significantly more complex? I have to retain eBS 11.5.10.2 and I am wondering if I should leave with SSO 10.1.4.3 and OID 11.1.1.7 or upgrade to OAM 11.1.2.3? There are other 12C applications covered by the IAM solution.

SSO 10.1.4.3 and OID 11.1.1.7 or upgrade to OAM 11.1.2.3  --> Correct

After OAM 11.1.2.3 then upgrade to 12c.

There are other 12C applications covered by the IAM solution. -- What kind of application ?

VishwaK,

They are Oracle forms/Reports and APEX applications.

Hello Jim,

You need to file a SR with Forms/Reports team to get support of OAM version with Oracle forms/Reports and APEX applications.

FYI - How to Integrate Forms 11gR2 with OAM/Webgate after an 11gR2 Forms/Reports Installation (Doc ID 1566779.1)

Best Regards

If I understood your environment, then there is a dependency on legacy apps that require you to retain the SSO 10.1.4.3 and its integration with legacy applications.

Now coming to other applications, which are "not" legacy and can be integrated with OAM - for this you install a new OAM 12c, however you may continue to use the same OID 11.1.1.7. In other words when you install the new OAM you use the existing OID as the Directory store. Since this a major change in your environment you may open a SR with Oracle support to confirm this setup.
