    How to preserve customization in adovars.env in oracle EBS R12

    3417524

      When we run autoconfig, it generates fresh adovars.env file, we all customizations in this file are lost(even though we keep it specifying as below)

      # Begin customization

      APPSJREOPT=""

      #End Customization

      Please advise how to prevent this from happening by autoconfig

      Also could someone please advise how to set  APPSJREOPT     environment variable to null as it gets auto populated by autoconfig.

          [AD_TOP]

          TEMPLATE FILE   : /appebs/app/ebs/apps/apps_st/appl/ad/12.0.0/admin/template/adovars_ux.env

          TARGET FILE     : /appebs/app/ebs/inst/apps/ebs_ebsmt/appl/admin/adovars_ebs_ebsmt.env

          [ INFO_REPORT ]

          [AD_TOP]

          TEMPLATE FILE   : /appebs/app/ebs/apps/apps_st/appl/ad/12.0.0/admin/template/adovars_ux.env

          TARGET FILE     : /appebs/app/ebs/apps/apps_st/appl/admin/adovars.env

          Verified that custom folder exists under $AD_TOP/admin/template (So I did not create custom folder).

          Also verified that the above file highlighted in yellow was not under $AD_TOP/admin/template/custom folder

          Copied file  /appebs/app/ebs/apps/apps_st/appl/ad/12.0.0/admin/template/adovars_ux.env to $AD_TOP/admin/template/custom

          Modified file $AD_TOP/admin/template/custom/adovars_ux.env and replaced the following parameter value

          from

          APPSJREOPT="%s_appsjreopts% -Dhttp.proxyHost=%s_proxyhost% -Dhttp.proxyPort=%s_proxyport% -Dhttp.nonProxyHosts=%s_nonproxyhosts% -Dhttps.proxyHost=%s_proxyhost% -Dhttps.proxyPort=%s_proxyport% -Dhttps.nonProxyHosts=%s_nonproxyhosts%"

          To

          APPSJREOPT

          Run autoconfig and the parameter APPSJREOPT is staying what we want it to.
