It could be a tomcat issue, 9.0.33 is available and 18.4 of ORDS is more than a year old...
Maybe another tomcat user can provide insight
Thank you so much for your reply. Tomcat 9.0.33 was release on March 11 that's 2 weeks ago. I wonder if anyone else might be running Tomcat 9.0.31 and has seen the error.
I have openned an SR with Oracle too, but I might be getting into the territory of Apache Tomcat is not an Oracle product and we do not support it and or the use a a newer version of ORDS.
Oracle REST Data Services 18.4 Premier support ends Jan 2024
APEX 18.x Premier support ends May 2023
Hence the quote of Premier support end dates and the part that according to the manual Oracle supports Tomcat [Oracle REST Data Services Installation, Configuration, and Development Guide Release 18.4 F12730-02 January 2019] and therefore I think it should run on 9.0.31, but I would have to wait until Tomcat 9.0.33 is release internally for use.
If anyone has see issues with Tomcat 9.0.31, please advise.
I also have a similar issue.
After looking at your case, I see this could be an issue with the Apache Tomcat.
I have an environment with Apache Tomcat/9.0.29. Which works perfectly fine without any issue.
In my later environment which is Apache Tomcat/9.0.31
I get the exact issue.
I tried to increase the max header size and it works some times.
Does anyone know how to downgrade Tomcat?
Dear Jeff, You are right, it is an issue with tomcat. I downgraded to 9.029 and it is working. Maybe for the higher version, some configurations need to be modified. Regards, Bala
