Oracle on sun Solaris 8

Hi Guru's

Actually I was working with Oracle 10g on Windows platform. Now Our company set up new Sun solaris server. I am totaly new to sun solaris. Anyway I have to work oracle on Sun solaris.

please provide some basic son solaris commnads to run oracle. Any links, or a documents for a starter also appreciated.

You (or rather your company) should consider an OS upgrade. Although Oracle still fully supports Solaris 8, I think either SUN or Oracle could stop support for Solaris 8 in the not so far future. Remember we already have Solaris 10.
