Delete old archived log files

51182Jan 31 2007 — edited Feb 1 2007
I am doing the on-line full backup every night. The archive files are not being overwritten so I now have 45 days of archived log files... Can I delete the old archived log files ( just leave the 7days old) manually after the full online backup? isn;t it going to harm the DB? or can i still restore DB from the last fulll back up if I keep only 7 days old archived log files?

How can I write a script that will deelte the archived log files older than 7 days for mthe last backup?

DO I have to use a RAMN to do this?
