I also have the exact same problem with Ubuntu 6.10
Interesting. Any ideas? Ubuntu is pretty popular, I'd assume Oracle is interested in making their applications work on one of the most popular Linux distributions.
Try running something like the following from within the OracleCalendar_inst directory:
mv cal_linux cal_linux.bak; cat cal_linux.bak | sed "s/export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL/#xport LD_ASSUME_KERNEL/" > cal_linux; rm cal_linux.bak
More information on the same problem in Zend Development Environment may be found here: http://www.zend.com/support/knowledgebase.php?kbid=226&view_only=1
I wanted to thank you for that suggestion, it worked perfectly.
Worked for me too:
Linux version 2.6.17-12-generic (root@terranova) (gcc version 4.1.2 20060928 (prerelease) (Ubuntu 4.1.1-13ubuntu5)) #2 SMP Mon Jul 16 19:37:58 UTC 2007 (Ubuntu 2.6.17-12.39-generic)
This solution worked perfect for me on Ubuntu Gutsy (7.10)
I did have to make gui_install and cal_linux executable: chmod +x gui_install cal_linux
CAN ANY ONE TELL ME HOW TO RUN WEBUTIL ON UBUNTU
