Installing ODT and ODAC?

tjohnsonMar 2 2007 — edited Mar 4 2007
It's crunch time and I'm trying to wing this.

I'm installing 10g on a server. Clients on their own machines. Reading thru the ODT and ODAC notes one set says it includes the client but it doesnt appear as an option when I run the universal installer. Only the ODAC and the Oracle Extensions for .Net.

So... is it safe to assume I must install the Oracle client first on the client pc's.

Are the "Oracle Development tools" and "Oracle Extensions for .Net" the same thing? Do I install them on the server or the client?

Is ODAC installed on the server or client?

First for information, the version 4.4 doesn't exist.

Then for OVM for Sparc EOL date, this product will follow the lifecycle of the hardware platform since release 2.0. Please take a look, in this case, on platform EOL date.

With the release of Oracle VM Server for SPARC 2.0 (LDoms), this product will follow the lifecycle of the hardware platform.

Hi,

to add to my previous post as we haven't announced EOSL for the newer servers.

When offered, Oracle Premier Support for Systems will be available for a minimum of five years from the last ship date of the hardware system.

Walter
