    Hi Siddhartha,
    From the Dashboard Prompt window in the Default to Option select value SQL Results. Click the button(box with 3 dots) to write the sql query.Your query may be like this,

    SELECT TABLE_NAME.COLUMN_NAME,.....

    Hi

    SELECT TO_CHAR(SYSDATE ,'yyyy') FROM dual;

    This statement returns year in a character format. But your column is in Date format.

    SELECT current_date FROM dual;

    This statement returns current_date. This will work definitely if your column includes timing. ex: 6/26/2007 5:41:45 PM

    SELECT TRUNC(current_date) FROM dual;

    This statement may help u in setting a default value to your column.

    Another solution for your problem is Use 'Specific Value' from 'Default to' list.

    Hi Vency

    SELECT current_date FROM dual;

    this SQL Statement giving following error:

    Error Codes: OPR4ONWY:U9IM8TAC:OI2DL65P
    State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 27004] Unresolved table: "dual". (HY000)
    SQL Issued: SELECT current_date FROM dual;

    and the statement SELECT TRUNC(current_date) FROM dual; also showing following error:

    Error Codes: OPR4ONWY:U9IM8TAC:OI2DL65P
    State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 27002] Near <(>: Syntax error [nQSError: 26012] . (HY000)
    SQL Issued: SELECT TRUNC(current_date) FROM dual;

    I am Talking about Oracle BIEE Dashboard Prompt.
