    redo logs not found on standby database

    585629
      I have created a dataguard using RMAN duplicate for standby database command.

      The structure is same on my production and standby server so I did not add the convert parameters. The standby database is doing fine but I do not see the redo logs on my standby database. They did not get copied into the standby database.

      I can see them when with v$logfile but physically they do not exist.

      How can I create them now on standby database?

      do I need to drop them and recreate them?

      Thanks in advance....

          Hi,

          Please check the output of v$managed_standby.

          SQL> select process,status,sequence# from v$managed_standby;

          v$datagard_status ( not using real-time-apply) shows message similar to following after starting the recovery and log files get created

          Standby database

          sql> select message from v$dataguard_status;

          ARC0: Archival started
          ARC1: Archival started
          ARC0: Becoming the 'no FAL' ARCH
          ARC0: Becoming the 'no SRL' ARCH
          ARC1: Becoming the heartbeat ARCH
