FYI: I already encountered this error as we do not have any control over the updates. They are loaded automatically. A work around is to un-install BIP Desktop, un-install Office and reinstall both. Then is works again.
Actually we can control it. When you click on updates (yellow icon) in system tray it will ask you for two options, express install and custom install. Just choose custom install and it will show you the list of all the updates. Not sure about at the time of shutdown system.
thanks for the heads up but I would rather you log an SR or a bug to alert development and we can get things fixed rather than make an announcement to the forum. Thanks for the workaround but many folks incl myself are forced to take security updates.
I will alert the dev team and we will investigate the issue with hig priority.

This will not work and you will not even see the patches if you have Active Directory locked down in your organization. Even then you will have to use the above method I posted to remove the patch, and in this case you will still need admin rights.
