    [IWAF JCA PeopleSoft] **** Error in parsing the input document.

    607265
      Hi,

      I configured Peoplesoft Adapter 10.1.3.1 with Oracle BPEL 10.1.3.1, I am able to invoke BPEL from Peoplesoft using JCA configurtaion. But I am not able to invoke Peoplesoft component interface from BPEL PM, Invoke call fails with following error. Did any one know solution to this issue.

      Thanks,

      Manish

          Manish,

          It is very likely the xml document is corrupted when it had reached the PeopleSoft adapter adapter layer from the BPEL layer. The following exceptions are indications for the same:

          **** Error in parsing the input document.
          oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLParseException: Start of root element expected.

          Between the comments 'SOS' and 'EOS', the xml reqeust document should be printed correctly where as it is not printed in your instance. It only prints, "oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLElement@1f73ac7" which is wrong.

          SOS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

          There could be many reasons for this:

          1. Either the XML document that you are using is wrong. Check in the default island log whether your xml document is printed on the same or not.
          2. Please check the following sections in the Oracle OEM adapter release notes for more clarification:

          12.1 OracleAS Adapters: General Issues and Workarounds - Check the "Namespace requirements" and "Testing outbound BPEL and inbound process" sections.

          3. Also, please check the "Namespace requirements" in chapter 4 of the PeopleSoft adapter user guide.

          Let me know whether it sorts out the issue or not.

          Regards,
          Kris

            Hi Kris,

            Thanks for replying.

            I tried your suggestions, but no luck, the input xml message is fine and has the required namespace. I am pasting the input and outout of the failing bpel partnerlink.

              Try the following XML document in your BPEL test window. It worked fine for me with the PT 8.17 instance:

              <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
              <PS8 xmlns="urn:iwaysoftware:adapter:peoplesoft:ci">
                   <component perform="browse">CI_PERSONAL_DATA</component>

                   <key name="KEYPROP_EMPL_RCD">0</key>
              </PS8>

              I tried as given below:

              1. Created and deployed a BPEL process.
              2. Login to the BPEL console and selected the BPEL process.
              3. Clicked the 'initiate' link.
              4. Selected the " Through Java Delivery API" option.
              5. Selected the "XML Source" option.
              6. Removed the contents from the test box and used the XML doc given above.
              7. Got the response back in the BPEL console.

                Hi Kris,

                I am facing another issue now, when BPEL invokes CI_PERSONAL_DATA it says <error>Cannot find Component Interface {CI_PERSONAL_DATA} (91,2)</error>. In trouble shooting section of Peoplesoft Adapter, its said that if such error occurs check if classes for the respective interface are included in your component interface jar file. I included classes for the CI_PERSONAL_DATA and other related classes in to the jar and kept it at <SOA_HOME>/adapters/application/lib directory, and included this jar in adapter library inside server.xml. I tried the conifguration for another coponent interface "LOCATION", but that too gives same error. Do you have any solution for this problem? I am including the input and output xml message.

                Thanks,

                Manish

                  Try copying the PS librarfy files such as psjoa.jar, CI jar file (if you are using 8.1 ps tools series then "pstools.properties" also) into the jca-app-adapter folder ($ORACLE_HOME\xxxxxxx\j2ee\connectors\xxxxxx\jca-app-adapter\jca-app-adapter).

                  Please see the following section in the release notes.

                  12.3.4 PeopleSoft Library Files and Component Interface Java API Files.

                    Kris,

                    I tried your suggestion, but it didn't help. I think the Ci jar file is getting loaded, because when I try to call any other interface whos class files are not included in CI jar file, it gives different error like "Not Authorized (90,6)Failed to execute PSSession request Cannot find Component Interface {LACATION_TABLE} (91,2)".

                    We verified all the configuration on Adapter and Peoplesoft aerver, every thing seems to be absolutely fine, even I turned on debug log level for adapter but that is not of any use.

                    I tried searching on the google, it seems many people who used Component Interface Java Classes faced such type of problem, they recommended some peoplesoft configuration, I tried their suggestions as well, but that also didn't work out.

                    Even though we are using Peoplesoft 8.4 Adapter asks for pstools.properties file whenever the BPEL Process is invoked, this file is there in the adapters lib directory, and jca-app-adapter directory, see below the log.

                      Manish,

                      Adapter would generate a log file namely jcaxxxxxxxxx.log under the folder $ORACLE_HOME\adapters\application\config\jca_sample\log. What is the error message that you see in that log file?

                      For the other two error messages, PS adapter user guide mentions the following in the "Troubleshooting and Error Messages" chapter.

                      Pstools.properties file has not been initialized. - This file is required for PeopleSoft 8.1. If you are using PeopleSoft 8.1, you should add this file. If you are not using PeopleSoft 8.1 and this error message still appears, ignore the message. As you are using the 8.4 series, you can ignore the error message.

                      Not Authorized (90,6) Failed to execute PSSession request - The component interface does not have the necessary access to perform the operation. Change the permission settings in the PeopleSoft > Security > Permission list for the component interface.

                      Cannot find Component Interface {CI name} - The reason may be either of the following:
                      The Java API for the selected component interface is not found in the API JAR file. Please check the Java API for the class file for the CI. If not found, please add the class file for the CI.
                      The component interface name is mentioned incorrectly in the request document.
