Hi people,

I took a look at some free tools, I tested it and I
could see that they generate content to be runned in Swing or
into applet through the Internet.

I need some HTML authoring tool that generate a help based
on the JavaHelp Specification to run in the Internet only
with CSS, JavaScript and HTML files and not need an applet
to be displayed.

Please, do you know anyone free tool that can do it?

Thanks in advance!

My source is in FrameMaker and I use Mif2Go to produce both Sun JavaHelp and Oracle Help for Java. Using the helpset viewer that is packaged with each application it is easy to manually launch the JavaHelp helpset.

If you look through the JavaHelp Guide and the Oracle Help for Java Guide there are complete procedures to do the above.

If you are developing your Helpset, TOC, Index, Mapping file, etc., manually, both of the above show you what is required in each file.
