Any update on support for Vista?
I am able to successfully run the diagnostics, but when either joining or starting a conference, the Console Initialization page simply does not load. I would be interested in how you were able to get to the Conference in Progress screen.
there is a patch available on METALINK for Vista Support RTC.
I am a new user of Oracle RTC and have same problem in Vista.
Can you tell me how to download this pacth 6502632?
This is not a user patch but a server patch. Please contact your OCS administrator so that he gets this patch on metalkink and installs it
I created a document that can be found at:
That fixes this
Here's the text:
OWC for Windows Vista Users
Disable User Access Control
1.Launch MSCONFIG by from the Run menu.
2.Click on the Tools tab. Scroll down till you find "Disable UAC". Click on that line.
3.Press the Launch button.
4.A CMD window will open. When the command is done, you can close the window.
5.Close MSCONFIG. You need to reboot the computer for changes to apply.
Note that you can re-enable UAC by selecting the "Enable UAC" line and then clicking on the Launch button.
In the Microsoft Internet Expolrer toolbar, click on Tools>Internet Options>Security
Click on ‘Internet’ then ‘Custom Level’. Scroll down and click ‘Enable’ and all ‘ActiveX’ entries
Disabling IE 7 Pop-Up Blocker
1. Click on Tools>Pop-Up Blocker>Settings
2. Type in conference.oracle.com in the ‘Address of Website to Allow’ space
3. conference.oracle.com will appear in the ‘Allowed sites’ pane - Click ‘Close’
but what about Oracle Messenger. The UAC option doesn't appear to fix that...even Windows 7 with XP compatibility doesn't seem to run messenger.
