        Hi

        I am following document 238276.1 and have performed steps till point 4. In step 5, I can apply patches 3830807, 3170128 without problem but the patch 3846086 gives following errors:
        cp: cannot stat `/apps/d01/oracle/prodora/8.0.6/bin/genagtsh': No such file or directory
        ./patch.sh: line 139: cd: /apps/d01/oracle/prodora/8.0.6/ctx/lib: No such file or directory
        ar: /apps/d01/oracle/prodora/8.0.6/ctx/lib/libctxhx.a: No such file or directory
        mv: cannot stat `sctxhx.o': No such file or directory
        ar: /apps/d01/oracle/prodora/8.0.6/ctx/lib/libctxhx.a: No such file or directory

        I can perform the step 6 successfully and can set my environment for APPL_TOP.

        When I try to perform step 7 "Download and apply the customer specific update with AutoPatch" it gives me the following error:

        bash: /apps/d01/oracle/prodappl/ad/11.5.0/bin/adpatch: cannot execute binary file

        The above file was copied from TRU64 and Unix doesn't understand it.
        Please tell me what should I do to move forward.

        Regards

          Hi hsawwan,

          When I try to create adadmin, it gives me errors of missing files. Complete APPL_TOP was copied from TRU64 but rapidwiz -techstack deletes most of binary files from it.
          Now I am stuck as I can't run any of utilities like adadmin, adpatch etc.

          Please suggest any solution

          Regards

            Why don't you generate all AD executable files using the following?
            $  adrelink.sh force=y "ad all"

                    These files are not there in the folders now. The files were present before running rapidwiz -techstack.
                    All the files and folders have 777 permissions at present.

                      Document asks to run it in step 4 for installing iAS. Please remember now I am fully following the document and not the method of installing whole EBS and then copy the appl-top.

                        Running "rapidwiz -techstack" should not delete any files under $APPL_TOP. Could you please copy (restore) those missing files and try to run adrelink.sh again.

                            Hi

                            Andreas Theodoridis posted a helpful reply on Metalink forum for the problems with binary files. Following are comments he made for your info:

                            You cannot run adadmin if you haven't previously applied the "customer specific patch" step 7 from DOC ID: 238276.1. In fact you cannot run any executable if you don't apply that patch which is strictly specific to your configuration.
                            When you migrate applications all executables and binary files need to be regenerated. This can only be done by running the above patch.
                            Please check if you have followed exactly the steps described in note 238276.1 and retest the issue.

                            Regards

                              The .a files are delivered to you're new platform APPL_TOP when you apply the site specific migration patch, which is created in note 238276.1, Section 2 #1 (Generate and upload the manifest of customer-specific files), and applied in note 238276.1, Section 2 #7.

                              Did you create the manifest file on Tru64, to create / download a Linux migration patch?

                                I got the impression that you have already reached that step and applied the patch. Please download and apply the customer-specific update with AutoPatch and check then.

                                  Hi
                                  Thanks to all you guys for helping me out and spending time.
                                  This was the first time I was doing this job. Now I have successfully reached to the compilation of forms and reports stage. I hope all will go fine now.

                                  @hsawwan
                                  I generated the manifest file and was applying the customer specific patch but the main issue was the snapshot. The current snapshot had some problem, I had to refresh it again. This time all went fine and the patch was applied successfully.

                                  Thanks and regards
