Using adident Header <filename> we can find version of any file in Oracle apps from Unix
Thanks for posting about adident. I always used "strings -a <filename> |grep '$Header'" for binary files and "grep -n Header <filename>" for ascii files but one command for any type is better.
Connect to the forms server.
In the $AU_TOP/resource directory run the following...
strings -a <NAMEOFFILE>.plx | grep '$Header'
To find the .pld version of INVAMCAP.plx I would run this on the forms server.
strings -a INVAMCAP.plx | grep '$Header'
This will return the .pld version.
Hope this helps!
