ORA-19809: limit exceeded for recovery files using OEM Backup

    user636554
      Hi,

I am trying to take a backup using Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g. The database is around 425G. We have 2 file systems /flash (49G) and /backup (541G). The old configuration used /flash. The retention policy is set to 1.
The db_recovery_file_dest_size was set to be 48G.
      I am getting the error:

ORA-19809: limit exceeded for recovery files
ORA-19804: cannot reclaim STRING bytes disk space from STRING limit

I tried to change the configuration using OEM. I changed the directory to point to /backup. With the parameter db_recovery_file_dest_size to be 300G.
However, I am still getting the same error.
RMAN-03009: failure of backup command on ORA_DISK_1 channel at 05/22/2008 02:39:43
ORA-19809: limit exceeded for recovery files
ORA-19804: cannot reclaim 52428800 bytes disk space from 322122547200 limit

      Can you please help.
      Thank you
