I would like to know where can I ge tthe documentation of the previous versions of Hyperion Products. Oracle provides documentation only for System 9.
I want the below products documentations
Hyp Essbase 7.1.2 : DBAG
Hyperion Planning 4.1 (I guess) : DBAG
Can you pleas elet me know where can I get these documentations.
I think you can find documentation for 7x at edelivery.oracle.com
also for planning 4
when you go to the 7x download links page you see product document link.
That has all the documents you need..
Can you please send me the required docs for Essbase 7.1.2 certification.I have an support experience of nearly 2 year on Essbase6 version.
Please mail them to email@example.com.
Thanks for your help.
I would caution against distributing the DBAG to people you don't know.
Besides the copyright issues, there are export restrictions that you cannot enforce. Since the information is readily available through Oracle, there is no purpose for distributing it, and every reason not to.
Addendum: this doesn't apply to the certification info, just the DBAG requests.
While the Oracle site may only show the system 9 stuff, your Oracle rep should be able to provide documentation for any supported version. This is the only official source for such materials at this point. If they get pestered enough for it, they will make it easier to get, but going around their backs for it is not an appropriate approach.
Worst case scenario: the use of gray and black markets becomes "acceptable" by the community and Oracle responds by protecting their interests and making legitimate users jump through more hoops for things that are currently left on the honor system.
I'm not accusing anyone of anything there, I am just saying that going to a third party can be viewed as a violation of the EULA and looks a little suspicious.
If your Oracle rep is so bad that you have to go around them, perhaps you should mention this to Oracle directly? No, I don't think that's what you intended to say, but the question you should ask is where can I get my Oracle Reps phone number so I can pester them for documentation... :)
