As already noted, there is no functional way to do this. In your scenario, the user would have to recreate the PO. If you really, really, really don't want to recreate the PO (hey, there are times...) you can use the code below. You may need to change the object_sub_type_code based on your PO that needs to be fixed. Always perform these in test system first to verify the effects!
