I am busy setting up a new instance of GRC on windows 2003 server.
I have a UCM instance on Linux on my network running already, but during installation of GRC its asks for a windows directory for ucm. Can i use a remote Linux machine to get it setup correctly? Do I just need to share the linux filesystem?
Any help appreciated.
GRCM all version and it's related version of UCM (752) have to run on Windows. GRCM is a .NET framework application and requires to run on Windows with .NET 2.0. It also requires UCM 752 running on Windows. Keep in mind that you also are required to run GRCM on an IIS as a web server.
You are correct about GRCM. It must be on a windows server.
If UCM (Content Server 7.5.2) is on a different server, then it can be on a Linux server.
IF it is on the same server as GRCM.... Then the OS must BE Windows ... not Linux
