How would you characterize the role of Enterprise 2.0 in your organizations strategy?

I'd characterize the role of Enterprise 2.0 in my organization as an adopted but not fully realized strategic direction. It seems that many organizations (based on anecdotal information from conferences, forums, etc.) have a hard time getting adoption to match the technology solutions available. In my very small institution (higher education industry, ~500 employees) Enterprise 2.0 has been widely conceptually adopted, but we face the challenge in fielding sustainable technological solutions to match that buy in.

Our near vanilla PeopleSoft ERP implementation provides a solid foundation for our enterprise solutions; anything we put into production needs to build on that. I will be very curious to see how new Oracle apps (fusion, social crm, beehive) will stack on PeopleSoft -- or how PeopleSoft may shift to live under those applications.
