Can you please try the following commands and give us the results of the commands ?
Please execute those commands as root.
for displayname in $authdisplay $hostname$authdisplay; do
if ! xauth list ""displayname" | grep "$displayname "
/dev/null 2>&1; thenxauth << EOF
With your user try "sudo -i", it gives you a login shell but keeps environment variables like DISPLAY and XAUTHORITY should be the same values then.
Is it not mkxauth to make a new xauth (http://linux.die.net/man/1/mkxauth) that shall be used?
In addition I would like that you read the following document http://www.windowsecurity.com/whitepapers/Improving_XWindows_security.html this is a quite good explanation.
