Problem Installing Oracle 10g on Windows 2000

      Hi all,

I´m trying to install the Oracle 10.2.0.1 on Windows 2000 Terminal, but
      I´m getting the following error:
      java.util.zip.ZipException: oversubscribed literal/length tree
           at java.util.zip.InflaterInputStream.read(Unknown Source)
           at java.util.zip.ZipInputStream.read(Unknown Source)
           at java.io.FilterInputStream.read(Unknown Source)
           at oracle.sysman.oii.oiix.OiixFileOps.copyStream(OiixFileOps.java:1421)
           at oracle.sysman.oii.oiij.OiijFastJarExtracter.copyFileFromJar(OiijFastJarExtracter.java:258)
           at oracle.sysman.oii.oiij.OiijFastJarExtracter.copyJarContents(OiijFastJarExtracter.java:194)
           at oracle.sysman.oii.oiij.OiijFastJarExtracter.extract(OiijFastJarExtracter.java:143)
           at oracle.sysman.oii.oiij.OiijJarExtractQueue$OiijJarExtractWorker.run(OiijJarExtractQueue.java:341)
      Somebody know about this?

A important information: Other person have tried to install the Oracle9i, but he've cancelled the operation.
So, I've cleared Oracle information from regedit, but the key LEGACY_ORACLEMTSRECOVERYSERVICE
I cannot make clear. I don't know if this can influence in installation

      thanks!!!!

What type of media are you installing from? If you downloaded the binaries you may want to try and download a new copy and verify the checksum.

Hi, Try to put the installation files into the root dir... "oversubscribed literal/length tree" it sounds like a problem with the path lenght (a common zip problem when the final path grows over an specified number.

Try it, and let us know the results.

                Hi,

Other important information that I forgot:
The server where I'm trying to install Oracle, it's running DB2.
Is there any limitation for this?

                Thank u veru much!

This error means your file is corrupt.

                      Hi,

well, I've installed on other server by using the same files of Oracle Installation, and it works fine.
Only on this server I got the error.

                      thanks!!!!
