Developing a custom Acknowledgement Parser for Oracle Payments (IBY)

Dear All

Has anyone configured/developed a custom version of Acknowledgment Parser of Oracle Payments (IBY) ?

We are integrating Oracle Payments (IBY) with a Third Party Credit Card Payment Processing System (ClearCommerce) , whereby we need to receive and process an acknowledgment message (in the form of an XML message) from the this (Third Party CC Payment) system and then extract values from the message and pass it into Oracle Payments.

Reading through the IBY manual , it appears that I must write an implementation class for the Acknowledgement Parser (oracle.apps.iby.bep.ACKParser) so that when the inbound servlet is invoked and a call to the ACKParser interface is made, the custom implementation code that underpins the Interface is executed.

i.e.

Standard servlet >> ACKParser >> Custom Implementation of the Interface.

Am I correct in this assumption?

Has anyone built a custom parser?

I am assuming that I do not need to write a java servlet, all I have to do is to write the implementation factory for the Acknowledgement Parser ?

How do I test this?

Any helps and Guidance is greatly appreciated.

Thank in Advance.

Regards

Patrice.
